Please note this course is aimed at those working in the Healthcare Sector.
Learners will complete Care of the Older Person (6 weeks) and Care Skills (6 weeks). Learners must also complete mandatory work placement hours in order to successfully pass. Learners to be referred by Healthcare companies.
This blended course will combine online training with mandatory face to face inputs. Learners will require access to a digital device to actively participate (computer, laptop or tablet). Exams associated with this course will be held in a Dublin North approved training facility.
The aim of the programme is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skill and competencies to work as a Care Assistant in a Healthcare setting.
On successful completion of the programme, learners will have sufficient qualifications to become a Care Assistant and may progress to further education to complete their full Healthcare QQI level qualification.

To be eligible to participate on courses you must be an Irish/EU/EEA or UK Citizen (residing in Ireland). If not do not meet this criteria you must hold a Stamp 4 GNIB card or be an asylum seeker with a Labour Market Access letter.
